They were lovely! I’d never tasted or cooked spot prawns before, but since they’re a local BC delicacy, I decided to finally give them a try. Thanks to a suggestion from my friend Julia at ffstockings.com, I marinated them for twenty minutes in tequila, garlic, lime juice and a dash of salt. Then a quick sautee in a hot skillet, toss in some fresh tomato chunks and green onion, and voila — dinner!
The flavour was seafoody without being fishy. Very delicate tasting without being obnoxious. I would definitely have them again and make them again. If you can get these lovelies where you are, I highly recommend a taste!
